Jack has four generations of true black on his sire's side. His dam is HVLA Jill out of Snowmass Peruvian Cashmere a SNOWMASS DRAMBUIE son and HVLA Nicola a true black. Lineage?.....'nuff said.
This big boned young man obviously has his superfine fleece passed down on his dam's side. How often do you see a 16.8 micron fleece in a black, even at 1 year of age? If that's not enough, he's very dense and shows well defined crimp and incredible luster. His conformation is strong as he grows into his powerful body.
All that said, he is a gentle soul and a pleasure to work with. We are delighted to have him in our breeding program. Looking for black? Look no farther!

Just has settled his first females. The cria are now hitting the ground and the fleeces, even though tui fleeces look to be special with exceptional lentgh, high luster and tight bundles. We know that he is an incredible find with little used lines, who can provide fresh genetics to a relatively small pool of non fading black .
Jack keeps getting better with age. As he matures, his fleece is holding up and mellow temperament remains unchanged. (Look at the histogram over the last 3 years...remember, this is a black male!).No wonder that in awarding him color champion at just under age 3 at the California Classic, judge Dawn Brooker stated " I'd love to have 30 just like him in my pasture.

Jack is proudly co-owned with Sue and Tom Petersen at Alpacas All Around.
