SNOWMASS
RROYAL FOX
Isn't
it amazing how some young males seem to exude macho confidence even as
cria? It's not about the physical prowess or pseudo orgling and
posturing, but that quiet self assurance.
The proportions on this young fellow are excellent. He is big boned and
well conformed. He has perfect bite. His fiber is incredible, with
length, luster, definition and uniformity throughout. And...he is is so
fine!
The photo from 1/1/08 shows his incredible staple length and definition
at barely 6 months. It might have been a good idea to have shorn him as
a cria for the show season. His fineness and length are enough to have
caused matting of his tips in the heat.
His older half brother (same dam) took first at the Futurity. His sire
is currently standing as one of Snowmass Alpacas most acclaimed studs.
Fox is a young male that we are confident will bring the best of
Snowmass Peruvian Casanova's genetics to the mix. His mom, is
acknowledged by the Skinners, to be one of Casanova's best
daughters. They kept her in their program till they decided to focus on
their solid colors. At age 7 she is still incredibly fine and dense. It
was our good fortune to be able to purchase her with a good number of
their grey production girls as they winded down.
Add to that the outstanding contribution of Royal Bronze, one of
Snowmass's finest fibered colored males. Snowmass Royal Bronze is
capable of taking the Snowmass Peruvian Casanova line to the next level.
Fox will unquestionably be a major contributor to grey genetics in a
savvy breeder's herd. It is all there..the phenotype, the breeding, and
the genetic pre-determinants. Were it not for the fact that this
breeding has been repeated for '08, we would not consider selling him.
