Peacemaker is the quintessential rose grey alpaca that we are breeding for in our program. His fleece is extraordinary in it's brightness and bold definition.

He is very "typey" with a quiet, confident, macho presence. Rock solid conformation and a perfect bite.

Unfortunately, Peacemaker had a very truncated show career, because AOBA show rules don't recognize fawn rose greys. He did have some very respectable showings, in light fawn, against top quality competition (it's worth looking up in AOBA show results), despite the fact that he had only 4 "appaloosa" type spots, a "micro tuxedo" almost identical to his dad, and a very uniform distribution of dark fawn and white fibers, very consistant in nature.

The fibre is bright, long, uniform and silky with long and ropey bundles, even in his second fleece, it seems to being coming in too quickly to settle into crimp.

This is what we saw with both Guns and Blue Mist, except their rate of growth, from what we can recall, slowed when they were younger.

Analytics: It's tough to find greys with good skin biopsy density testing. Peacemaker is a "Pandora's Box". He will not be biopsied till he is 2 years old and shorn this spring but...have a look at mom and dad and not only the phenotypes and lines (Guns n Roses and Legacy...are you kidding me?), and you will have to look hard to find skin biopsy testing and histograms in grey, top and bottom. It would be a shame... if Peacemaker wasn't tried in a quality breeding program. He has the presence and demeanor of a confident "macho", something obvious at 3 months. We believe that he will get better with age. If you agree with our assessment, he's a bargain!
